Rich Zhang, Director, Client Solutions
I help people find clarity in complexity. Whether I’m guiding a client through a high-stakes challenge or mentoring a student at a career crossroads, I’m focused on the same thing: understanding what really matters and helping them move forward – calmly, confidently, and with purpose.
Clients count on me to be a steady, trusted partner. I listen closely, ask the questions others skip, and bring a mix of empathy, detail-orientation, and practical thinking. My instinct in complex situations isn’t to fight or flee, it’s to engage. I try to see the problem from the other person’s lens, articulate their concerns in their words, and look for common ground that gets everyone unstuck.
I’m energized by work that’s collaborative and human. Some of my proudest moments have come from turning skeptics into advocates, one conversation at a time. I’ve also spent over a decade mentoring first-generation students, helping them find clarity, confidence, and a path that feels like their own. That experience has shaped how I lead just as much as anything I’ve done in business.
I grew up navigating two cultures and limited resources, raised by immigrant parents who taught me how to adapt, advocate, and make meaning out of constraint. That early experience shaped how I read the room, build trust across difference, and stay focused on what truly moves us forward.
When I need to reset, I turn to nature, new experiences, and the joyful chaos of raising two toddlers. They keep me grounded, stretch my perspective, and remind me that what’s most important often isn’t complicatedit’s just easy to overlook.
